Dato' Hamidy is the President/Chief Executive Officer of Affin Bank Berhad. He was formerly the Managing Director of Danaharta from 1 August 2001 to 30 June 2003.

He has extensive experience in corporate banking and banking operations in both local and international financial institutions. Immediately prior to joining Danaharta, Dato' Hamidy held several senior positions in the Amanah Capital Group (then a financial services and property group).

Apart from Danaharta, he also holds directorship in Intria Berhad, Malaysia Building Society Berhad, Crest Petroleum Berhad, Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad and Malaysia Debt Ventures Berhad.

Dato' Hamidy has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and an MBA from Ohio University, USA. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers Malaysia.
